Canonbury arts specialises in fine art and museum quality picture framing. We provide for galleries and individuals. We have many years expertise and can offer a range of framing options. As well as all normal conventional mouldings we can also provide perspex box frames, metal frames or bespoke cast frames, employing our mould making department.

Glazing
As well as standard glass, the most common and inexpensive option, we also supply and cut different types of glass and acrylic glazing including the best uv protective anti reflective materials for unparalelled clarity and protection. Glass is available in standard float, water white float, uv protected and uv-antireflect, acrylic available in standard, uv, and uvar.

Mounting
Mounting the work is done to hold the image in place, and protect it. Window mounting, and float mounting, are the most common, examples are in the gallery. We tend to use the latest conservation materials and techniques. We use mainly acid free and museum quality mountboards from several different manufacturers. We can also offer dry mounting where the image is heat flattened onto a substrate.

Mouldings
Different types of frame mouldings including plain woods that we hand finish like ash, oak, cherry, maple, walnut, tulip, and pine.

Hanging mechanisms
We provide different types of hanging solutions such as sub frames and strap hangers, split battons, D rings, mirror plates, rymans, and other sundries wires and cords.

Professional service. We can come to your environment and expertly position your framed artwork on your walls.

Ready mades
We also produce ranges of ready made frames for economical, yet still high quality, solutions.
